Moxi Now

moxi-nowMoxi Now is the world’s smallest wireless receiver-in-canal hearing aid, and the newest hearing aid from Unitron. It is the size of two blueberries, stacked on top of one another!

Powered by the North Processing Platform, Moxi Now offers a number of signature features. Speech Zone 2 adjusts microphones to focus on speech, while Binaural Spatial Processing creates a network between the two hearing aids to determine the direction of speech. SoundNav, another signature feature, is an automatic program that identifies and smoothly transitions wearers across different sound environments, with specific focus on speech and conversation. Moxi Now Pro offers seven diverse environments.

Other features include Log It All, a trademark of Unitron, which helps your hearing specialist tailor your listening experience to meet your specific needs. My Music offers clearer music listening for music lovers. Frequency Compression balances sounds of both high and low frequency for a more comfortable and easy listening experience. AntiShock protects wearers from the sharp sounds of sudden noises, such as a door slam.

Moxi Now is available in three power levels: 700, 800, and Pro. Both 800 and Pro offer 20 channels, while 700 offers 16. In all technology levels, Moxi Pro offers features such as natural sound balance, data logging, feedback manager, wind control, tinnitus masker, DuoLink (for wireless connectivity), and plasma coating to protect the hearing aids.

Starkey Halo 2

starkey-halo-2In 2015, Starkey’s Halo Made for iPhone received the Silver Edison Award. The new Halo 2 updates and builds upon the foundations and innovations of the original.

As a made for iPhone hearing aid, Halo 2 is designed to connect wearers to their smartphones and other personal electronic devices. Through the TruLink Hearing Control App, Halo 2 wearers may make adjustments to features and volume with ease, stream phone calls, music and other media directly to their hearing aids, and activate the GPS geo-tagging feature.

The GPS feature is perhaps one of Halo 2’s most innovative. As wearers travel between different environments, Halo 2 logs wearer preferences in specific spaces, using geo-tagging. When you return to these places, the GPS geo-tagging feature will automatically adjust to your previously saved settings. In challenging noise situations, the Halo 2 and TruLink App give wearers an extra boost, but turning the iPhone into an assistive listening device. The microphone captures sound, which are amplified by the app and then streamed directly to the Halo 2.

Starkey’s Halo 2 is available in receiver-in-canal (RIC) and behind-the-ear (BTE) styles.
