LiNX² – Made for iPhone
As one of the first Made for iPhone hearing aids on the market, the LiNX was a game-changer. With wireless connectivity to the iPhone, ReSound propelled hearing aid technology into the 21st century to meet the advancements in small, personal electronic devices.
Now in its second generation, ReSound’s LiNX2 builds upon the successes and advancements of its predecessor. Equipped with an updated processing platform, and new and improved features, the LiNX2 provides seamless listening, easy control, and features to support people with varying degrees of hearing loss. The LiNX2 offers exceptional sound quality, speech recognition, and improved spatial awareness.
Made for iPhone Capabilities
As a Made for iPhone hearing aid, LiNX2 provides simple connection and effortless listening (LiNX2 also connects to other products such as the iPad and iPod touch, and now Android). When connected to these devices, your LiNX2 hearing aids essentially function as wireless stereo headphones. Wearers of the LiNX2 enjoy hands-free streaming of phone calls, FaceTime, music, and other media directly from their iPhones to their ears.
This is achieved through the ReSound Smart app, which is downloadable for your iPhone, iPad, and Android. The ReSound Smart App gives wearers ease of control over adjustments to their listening experience, such as volume, treble, and bass. Wearers have discreet and simple control over their hearing aid preferences on their phones, without having to fiddle with the small hearing aid components in their ear.
Also through the ReSound Smart app, LiNX2 activates the iPhone’s GPS feature, which archives user preferences in specific locations. When users return to the location, the LiNX2 automatically adjusts to saved user preferences, for a natural and seamless listening experience.
Designed for Active Lifestyles
LiNX2 is coated with iSolate Nanotech Protective Covering, which helps to protect the sensitive electrical components from water, debris, sweat, oils, and dust. With new SureFit receivers, LiNX2 offers wearers improved listening comfort, confidence, and sound quality. With a discreet, slim design, the LiNX2 fits in effortlessly into your lifestyle and withstands the different elements of everyday life.
Speech Recognition Features
LiNX2 has been proven to provide 30% better speech clarity than other premium hearing aids on the market (according to a report by Moeller & Jesperson, 2013). Hearing loss interferes with one’s ability to locate sound and recognize speech, especially when there is interference from challenging background noise. With connection to the iPhone and the ReSound Smart app, LiNX2 allows wearers to adjust their speech focus preferences, such as the width of the beam which captures speaker’s voices. With the Comfort in Noise and Comfort in Wind features, LiNX2 wearers experience reduced noise in challenging environments.
Additionally, in extra-challenging situations, the Live Listen feature on ReSound’s Smart App uses the iPhone as an assistive listening device, capturing sounds through the microphone and streaming amplified sound to the LiNX2 hearing aids.
Improved Directionality
LiNX2 boasts improved directionality features, with Surround Sound and New Binaural Directionality II. The Surround Sound feature helps wearers locate the source of sound in their environment, with access to a 360-degree spectrum of sound. The New Binaural Directionality II feature simulates a natural, binaural listening experience for wearers, in which audio data is received and balance from both ears. This supports the brain by providing a clearer picture of sound.
Tinnitus Management
With the understanding that up to 90% of cases of hearing loss also include tinnitus (ringing of the ears), ReSound has designed LiNX2 to address this frustrating problem. LiNX2’s tinnitus management program offers pre-programmed Nature Sounds, a sound therapy feature to provide relief from the frustrating noises of tinnitus. LiNX2’s sound therapy diverts your attention away from the sounds of tinnitus, while improved listening and directionality features help to retrain your brain to hear.
Other Styles & Features
The LiNX2 is available in the following styles: receiver-in-the-ear, behind-the-ear, and in-the-ear. It is fully customizable and available in many different colors to meet your aesthetic needs.
